Foundation Training in Interior Design
The Professional Certification in Interior Design is a comprehensive, nonformal program designed to blend theoretical learning with real-world experience. Divided into four progressive levels- O-Level, A-Level, B-Level, and C-Level, each year builds on the previous to ensure a robust foundation and mastery of interior design. These programs are internship-based, offering practical, workplace-embedded learning, supported by professional coaching and mentorship during non-working hours. This unique structure equips participants with both technical expertise and hands-on experience, preparing them for successful careers in the dynamic field of interior design.
This unique certification program combines mentorship, practical training, and theoreticaldepth to create a well-rounded professional. With its emphasis on experiential learning and industry alignment, graduates are equipped to thrive in a variety of interior design contexts, from residential projects to advanced commercial and specialized fields. The division of program is as follow:
O-Level Program: Foundations of Design
The program begins with a strong focus on the basics. Participants explore design principles, color theory, and sketching, alongside an introduction to materials and construction. Practical activities, such as mood board creation, freehand sketching, and site visits, enable learners to translate theoretical concepts into tangible skills.
A-Level Program: Residential Design & Technical Skills
The second year deepens the understanding of residential space planning and CAD-based drafting. Participants gain insights into client interaction and needs assessment, ensuring they can translate client visions into detailed, actionable design proposals. Practical exercises include creating construction drawings and developing lighting and finish schedules.
B-Level Program: Commercial Design & Visualization
Expanding into the commercial domain, participants tackle challenges in designing office, retail, and hospitality spaces. This level emphasizes 3D modeling, rendering techniques, and sustainable design. Learners develop full commercial project proposals, utilizing tools such as SketchUp and 3ds Max to bring designs to life.
C-Level Program: Advanced Design & Specialization
The final year is tailored to foster specialization and leadership. Participants choose areas such as sustainable design, hospitality, or healthcare, culminating in an in-depth capstone project. Additionally, the program emphasizes portfolio development, professional practices, and project management skills, ensuring a smooth transition to industry roles.
